some thoughts.....

First off, I want to say that I am HAPPY about the election results. I have great hopes for President elect Obama. I hope he can make some changes in Washington. Most of all, I hope he changes our economic crisis, failing health care system and keeps our homeland security strong.
I am also SOOO glad that Propositions 8 in California, 2 in Florida and 102 here in Az passed. I have faith in the American people for coming together and voting on something that I hold SACRED, marriage. Marriage IS between one man and one woman and as yes, my views sometimes are liberal, I am STRONGLY opposed to homosexuals having the right to marry legally.
ALSO, did you know that there are 227 calories in ONE Texas Roadhouse roll? AHHH, I ate like 5 the other night! Bad me.

Ohhh Sarah...we need to remember that these are the last days and that more importantly than fighting for decent healthcare, we need to be preparing our families for the hard times ahead. Things aren't going to get better, prepare yourself for a downhill ride. We've been warned and the time is now. Get your family as spiritually strong as possible, if you haven't already, get your food storage ASAP. And because we have been warned (non-stop as of late), we know that we're in for a wild ride and must hold on as tight as we can.

PS - if you go to restaurant.com, you can get a discounted gift certificate to Texas Roadhouse... :)

Thank you for sharing your opinion. We have NO idea what Obama will do for us. Why is everyone saying "protect your families, prepare!' What have we, as LDS people been doing all along? BUT now to care for the country, I want it easier for the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions to be able to get better and affordable health care than they can now.
I chose to be positive about this.

and I also think that all children 18 and younger should have FREE healthcare! How about that!

You so could have left out that last part. No one should ever know how many calories are in those bad boys!

Hey is Connie your friend?

I didn't vote for Obama, but I will support him and pray that he is guided. I feel that all things happen for a reason. To be honest, I really didn't like either candidate. I did like Palin though. I woman in office, besides Hillary would have been cool!

I just want to throw a disclaimer into Sarah's comment. Any statement made about politics on the Painter Family Blog do not reflect the opinion and feelings of the Painter Family as a whole. Sarah and I disagree about everything political. However, I will say that being fearful about our new president is what the adversary wants. Fear is of the adversary. We should definitely prepare because we have been told to do so by the church leaders. I for one, will not let fear dictate my actions anymore. I will let faith in the Lord dictate them.
