From the mouth of Kaden

First off, let me just say that for our 5 year old Kaden, bedtime is the hardest part of his and our day. He doesn't stop getting out of bed, stop talking or trying to be sneaky and play. He is constantly whispering loud THINKING we can't hear him. So he starts talking to Bryce in his "whisper".
Me: "Kaden, you need to be quiet now."
Kaden: "Well what was I saying ?"
Me: "I don't know WHAT you were saying but I hear you."
Kaden: "Well you DON'T hear me obviously cause if you did, you'd know what I was saying."

Another one. Let me set the scene. We had already done song and prayer and he was supposed to be in bed. I spied for about 20 seconds and watched him get out of bed, go onto Bryce's and play. So I said, "Kaden, back in bed please!" Startled that I caught him, he yelled at me, "Mommy, you scared me! I'm telling on you!"
Oh I love it!

Too cute! The joys of putting our kids to bed. Kaden is a smart little boy to ask you what he was saying..it's like JUST GO TO BED! It's all worth it when they say they love you.

That is too CUTE!! I cracked up. I LOVE little personalities! Sydney has started to yell back at me "YOU no!" or "YES!" And the other day she REFUSED to give me her barrette, saying "No!" and jerking away. It just makes me laugh, it doesn't sound that awful, still funny. Yet when she gets OLDER... :)
