but the crowd did. I am sooooo sick of 17 year old stupid fans who ruin the show experience for all the other people who actually want to WATCH and CHILL and DANCE a little to the band. Ok so Nikki and I (Matt was sick and had a class so he couldn't go) got there when the opening band was playing and made our way, easily up to the very front. Everything was chill. People were happy and swaying to the band but when they were done and they were setting up for Incubus, I'm not kidding, it's like High School just got out or something. a thousand 16 and 17 year olds rushed the crowd and Nikki and I got smushed. Cool people we were chillin around were now like 20 ft' away from us and we had NO breathing room. We stood solid though and did not move an inch. We were still front and center. When Incubus came on, it was fun at first but shortly turned into smashing, smushing, being hit on the head, being almost knocked over and screams. Some people got kicked out and it was just out of control. I can handle close quarters at a concert and I've been in the pit before but this was like suffocation, way more hard core than I've ever experienced. Like 6 tiny girls had to get carried out by security cause they were literally being suffocated and finally Nikki had had enough and she asked to be carried out too. After about the 5th song and when I had had enough of this annoying guys arms behind me choking me and us having a tiny yelling match, I asked the security to lift me out too. I had to put my arms around his neck and people helped lift me out. I didn't care about anything at all showing EXCEPT these. Now everyone knows my secret to a slightly thinner waistline. haahaaha!
Well Nikki and I enjoyed the show still pretty close but far away from that annoying herd of cows.
Oh and I think the annoying guy who was choking me with his arms pinched my booty too! Someone did and I looked over and I hoping Matt was feeling better and came and it was him but I had no such luck.
Maybe its time.

Ok, funny...I did not expect the spanx plug! That is a crack up. Glad you had fun!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's over the mosh pit scene, it was awesome when I was younger and wanted to be that close to 17 year old boys, but now I'd much rather enjoy the music.
That's good the concert rocked.
I just realized when I comment - it shows up as both Mike and Leah, I'll clarify that it was I, Leah who didn't mind being mushed up against 17 yr. old boys, not my husband. Although now I just like being mushed up against my husband, who's even hotter that a 17 yr. old.
I HATE concerts, for these VERY reasons. The crowds, dude. They ruin it for me. I feel also (because typically I am so far away from the stage) like I'm watching a party (in front of the stage) that I can't go to. Becaaaaause... I don't want to fight the crowds up there. BUT, I am glad you enjoyed yourself! :)
Girl - I love a good set of SPANX - they are a Godsend, especially in the first few month after having a baby!!
Ha! That is funny....you did just turn 28 so maybe its a "getting older" thing...its okay to admit it, I'm sure we are all on the same page. :)
